The Israel Society for Microscopy (ISM) Website
The Israel Society for Microscopy (ISM) serves as a home-base for a vibrant community of professional microscopists from academia, industry and government laboratories since its foundation as an NGO in 1965. ISM is also a hub for microscopy related activity and applications, thus serving also researchers, who do not necessarily identify themselves as microscopists, yet do rely on microscopy techniques.

The aim of the society is to promote microscopy, microanalysis and micro-imaging in all its theoretical and applicative aspects and to stimulate interaction between its members coming from different disciplines - life sciences and materials sciences.
These goals are achieved in the following ways:

- • Internet forum
- • Database of laboratories and facilities
The ISM is a member of the European Microscopy Society (
EMS) and of the International Federation of Societies for Microscopy (
IFSM)
