He joined the Weizmann Institute of Science where he pioneered the use of TEM for materials science. Lev was a remarkable man and a true friend, always happy to share the happiest moments of discovering new structures of matter. Lev passed away untimely in 1995 at the age of 54.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Yael Mutsafi<\/strong> <em>graduated with a PhD from the Weizmann Institute of Science, where she studied the structure of giant viruses by multiple electron microscopy approaches. Yael was a promising scientist, a gifted microscopist, and an unforgettable person, loved and honored by all who knew her.
